TACKLEBERRY - Call Me Green  LP  (Zeitstrafe)  EUR 10.00
'Call me green' is the debut album from northern Germany newest favorite sons TACKLEBERRY. These 11 songs are a nut kickin' mix of pissed hardcore and more modern melodic hardcore-punk styles. TACKLEBERRY is poised and ready to strike out at you with 11 melodic hardcore tracks that will either get you to raise your fist and join the fight or knock you flat on your butt if you stand in the way. The lyrics on this and the nice artwork are amazing. Northcore lives!
TACKLEBERRY - Reinventing Appetite For Destruction  LP  (Zeitstrafe)  EUR 10.00
TACKLEBERRY from northern Germany are back with a brandnew record! Short, fast and melodic HC-Punk with a serious punch! Eight intense songs that capture both: Hardcore energy and snotty-nosed punkrock spirit. TACKLEBERRY are one of Europe's most touring DIY hardcore bands and are therefore tight as fuck, however still chaotic at times, sporting nervous outbreaks now and then. If you're into socially aware, pissed Melodic-HC - get this record! Beautiful artwork!
TAEA - Today And Everything After  7"  (State Of Mind)  EUR 4.00
After two CDs, Today And Everything After finally present their first effort on vinyl, laying down a sound that takes the aggressiveness and moshability of bands like Down To Nothing, Madball and Trial and give it their own twist. One-time pressing of 700 copies on colored vinyl.
TAKE CONTROL - Tides  7"  (Commitment)  EUR 4.00
TAKE CONTROL, from Cedar Falls, Iowa, has already been making a name for themselves in the Midwest hardcore scene by touring like crazy. The band brings their straight edge message packed in hardhitting fast and heavy hardcore, that both sounds firmly rooted in the past, but also very much 2008. The bitter lyrics fit in very well with the aggressiveness of the music – bitter about the destruction that is happening all around. The band may sound bitter, but brings with their music also a message of hope. As powerful and angry as hardcore should sound!
TAKE CONTROL - Trapped Inside  7"  (OCR)  EUR 4.50
Starting in 2006, Iowa straight edge band Take Control plays fast hardcore about growing up in a small Midwestern town and the restlessness that comes from being young with nowhere to go. With several tours on two EPs and more lined up for this year, Take Control shows no intention of slowing down anytime soon. For fans of Have Heart, Guns Up and Modern Life Is War.
TALK HARD - War Journal  7"  (Don Giovanni)  EUR 4.00
Twelve song ep of fast, spastic hardcore from Boston. Goofy song titles make you think that Charles Bronson is a big influence. Fun filled, taking sarcastic stabs at a wide variety of topics, they even manage to include the occasional guitar solo in between short bursts of venom. Like SFA years before them, they reach a simple conclusion upon watching today's scene: 'Hardcore's dead'.
TALL SHIPS - Voyages   LP/CD  (Assault)  EUR 10.00
Eleven tracks of passionate and melodic 'modern' hardcore from Grand Rapids, MI. These guys are friends with the entire BROTHERS crew (maybe sharing members as well) and it shows. From fast and short (HCP) to slow and (a little) heavy, this one has it all. Add to that some gang vocals, truly great melodies and a powerful vocal delivery that brings it all home, and you have 'Voyages' Fans of everything from Comeback Kid to Champion, give this a try, these songs rule! Colored vinyl in stock! CD version on Truth And Justice Records.
TALL SHIPS demo  tape  (Forever Young)  EUR 2.50
Three songs of passionate 'modern' hardcore from Grand Rapids, MI. These guys are friends with the entire BROTHERS crew (maybe sharing members as well) and it shows. Fans of everything from Comeback Kid to Champion, give this a try, these songs rule!
TARGET, The/ WATCH OUT! split  LP  (Cobra)  EUR 9.00
Both bands recorded a bunch of new songs that outshine their already great demos easily. But what happens when you put these two great bands on just one record? THE TARGET's dedication and D.I.Y. work ethic showcase that this split release is a perfect example of the natural progression a band can endure after a previous demo. THE TARGET always walked the fence of hardcore and punk rock, but finding an appropriate genre is a task they’ve never worried about. Fast, positive, and straight to the point! WATCH OUT fit nearly in the same genre. With their honest and energetic youth-crew and old-school influenced hardcore-punk music with positive and reflective lyrics they're the perfect counterpart for their friends in THE TARGET. WATCH OUT have quickly built a strong reputation for their powerful and melodic style with passion, aggression, and a message of positivity. WATCH OUT stands strong amongst the frontrunners of a genre that has finally been given a breath of fresh air. Packed in a nice gatefold cover!
TARPIT - Checkmate  7"  (Collapse)  EUR 4.00
Everyone's favorite bastard sons of the Virginia Beach return with Tarpit's 2nd EP, 'Checkmate'. A blend of traditional New York Hardcore like Agnostic Front crashing head on into the sounds of brutality as created by the likes of Infest, Crossed Out and Neanderthal- these 3 new songs and cover of The FU's 'What You Pay' harken to the days when X-Claim was more than fashion and Dischord wasn't just some hip logo Nike was ripping off.
TARPIT - Vultures  LP  (Collapse/ Trashed)  EUR 10.00
Following the success of two vinyl-only EPs, Tarpit debut their first full length, 'Vultures.' Having in the past been compared to bands such as Crossed Out, Infest and Agnostic Front, 'Vultures' continues in this vein but adds a powerful touch of the early '80s HC sound. Without being a 'retro '80s band,' Tarpit manage to funnel the sounds of that time and create something new, and 'Vultures' is the culmination of that energy. Now available on vinyl! Copies bought from XsentientX will have lyric inserts!
TARPIT - Wake Up  7"  (Collapse)  EUR 4.00
After their split ep with VICTIM (still available), TARPIT return with six songs of fast modern hardcore punk with old school infuences. Raw and straight forward songs for fans of Infest and early NYHC, like Straight Ahead.
TARPIT/ VICTIM split  7"  (Last Anthem)  EUR 4.00
New split ep from these two Virginia Beach hardcore bands. Victim remind me a lot of 'Cause For Alarm' era Agnostic Front. Tarpit play fast, vicious hardcore with a little bit of a more modern sound. 4 songs from each band.
TAYLOR BOW - Thin Air  LP  (Youth Attack)  EUR 15.00
Urbane shrieks, wilting shadows and crumbling panoramas. 15 song LP by this enigmatical NYC coterie. Pressed on black vinyl, sheathed in extra heavy 28 pt. 'old style' tip-on jackets and resealable shiny poly bags.
TEAM EFFORT - The Third Age  7"  (Good News)  EUR 4.00
Team Effort are a new positive straight edge band from who knows where (the only address is their URL). Everything about this record screams old school, and music and lyrical content fit the mold. Positivity, Brotherhood, straight edge and the best of times, TEAM EFFORT got it covered. Power, melodies and singalongs, sign me up! Features guest vocals by Larry Esteem. Recommended for fans of the First Step, Bold, and Youth of Today. Colored vinyl in stock!
TEAMKILLER/ BLEED INTO ONE split  7"  (Dead Serious)  EUR 3.50
Described by the label as the hardest and angriest band to surface from the south-west in years, Bleed Into One are back with two new songs and a sound that transcends Hardcore stereotypes. Mix up DEATH THREAT and HATEBREED with the spirit of INSIDE OUT and the CRO-MAGS. Music is plain and simple hardcore with a frontman that must be MIKE JUDGE's brother. Teamkiller have managed to turn the european hardcore world on it’s head in the past few months. The result of a coalition of current Sidekick & Absidia members brings us a mixture of hard, moshable and uncompromising hardcore with and old school touch. Nice packaging job and on colored vinyl.
TEAR IT UP - Taking You Down With Me  LP  (Havoc)  EUR 10.00
Taking You Down With Me was originally intended to be a 7inch, but the amount of material proved to be too long and the band decided to release it instead as a 45 RPM 12ich. These seven new songs combine the fast thrash that Dead Nation and early Tear It Up were known for with more hard rock/late Black Flag influenced heavy riffage on a few slower numbers. The result is absolutely crushing, like alternating between burst of high energy and a slow relentless pounding.
TEARS OF GAIA - Burial  2x7"  (New Eden)  EUR 8.50
Playing crushing mid-'90s influenced metallic hardcore, Tears Of Gaia churn through six tracks on this double ep, paying homage to animal liberation and straight edge. The vinyl is hand-numbered, comes in a gatefold cover and is limited to 1,000 copies on colored vinyl.
TEEN CRUD COMBO - Judegement Night Soundtrack Part Two  LP  (Deranged)  EUR 10.00
Teen Crud Combo burst onto a lacking Toronto punk scene a few years back, bringing a mix of sounds provided by bands like Zeke, Dwarves and Motorhead. This now-defunct band only had one ep, a few crazed live shows and plenty of mean riffs before they broke up, never to become more than a local phenomenon. But members did go on to play in Ruination and Brutal Knights. 'Judgment Night Soundtrack Part Two' contains that ep as well as 9 other previously unreleased tracks.
TENEMENT KIDS - We've All Been Down  LP  (Crucial Attack)  EUR 10.00
One of Holland's beste kept secrets! Their debut full length album shows that these guys really ARE Europe's best answer to Hot Water Music or hell, even The Gaslight Anthem. Melodic, yet intense and full of heart, this one hits all the right spots. Colored vinyl in stock.
TERMINAL STATE - Sick  7"  (Deranged)  EUR 4.50
These three tracks continue where Toronto's Terminal State left off on their 'Your Rules' LP, with more snotty early '80s styled hardcore punk, not unlike that of Career Suicide and Government Warning.
TERMINAL STATE - Your Rules  12"  (Deranged)  EUR 10.00
Another great output from Toronto's striving hardcore/punk scene. Terminal State play hardcore the old fashion way without butchering the simple formula that has defined a sound that stands the test of time. They've done a near perfect job of approximating the sound of early BLACK FLAG and CIRCLE JERKS records It's fast, loud and snotty and there are catchy riffs as well as lyrics about not fitting into this society.
TERMINAL YOUTH - s/t  LP  (Give Praise)  EUR 10.00
Totally fast and chaotic thrash hardcore from these Boston kids. Fast explosions that wind into fast circle pit parts... blasting yet again into the crazed fast thrashy raw hardcore. Only slowing down at a few parts to pause and get you ready for the next blast. 18 songs for fans of old Boston HC and newer skate trash. Limited quantities.
TERROR - Always The Hard Way  LP  (Reflections)  EUR 11.50
Terror's second full length, packed in an awesome gatefold sleeve. Be sure to not miss out simply because this is easily the best stuff Terror has done so far! The band managed to bring in a slew of amazing guest vocalists: Eddie Sutton from Leeway, Aaron from Death Threat and even hip hop greats MC Murs and Mr. Dibbs add their talents to this new album.
TERROR - Always The Hard Way  LP  (Lockin Out)  EUR 10.00
Terror's second full length, packed in an awesome gatefold sleeve. Be sure to not miss out simply because this is easily the best stuff Terror has done so far! The band managed to bring in a slew of amazing guest vocalists: Eddie Sutton from Leeway, Aaron from Death Threat and even hip hop greats MC Murs and Mr. Dibbs add their talents to this new album. High production values on the US pressing!
TERROR - demo  7"  (Reaper)  EUR 4.00
Terror's out of print four song demo CD now available as a limited (2000 copies) 7inch. You know what to expect, right?
TERROR - One With The Underdogs  LP  (Dead Serious)  EUR 10.00
Ignoring current musical trends Terror has assiduously carved themselves a path in the hardcore scene. Absent of cheesy gimmicks or fly by night trends, Terror has taken the ethics and straightforward guitar assault of old school veterans like The Cro-Mags and Agnostic Front and effortlessly added their rapid fire drum lines and trademark double fisted vocal attack from veteran front man, Scott Vogel. 'One With The Underdogs' is Terror's statement and 'fuck you' to the world. Never backing down on their ideals or changing their style; Terror is coming back with more of their patented sing-a-longs and circle pits. Maybe not as fast and furious as on 'Lowest Of The Low', but with improved song-writing, 'One With The Underdogs' strikes painfully hard. Colored vinyl.
TERROR - Rhythm Amongst The Chaos  7"  (Reaper)  EUR 5.00
Terror have cemented their status in stone letters as guardians of old school hardcore ethics while winning the pit fervor of the new generation of metal and hardcore fans. 'Rhythm Amongst The Chaos' was recorded at drummer Nick Jett's recording studio, Blood Tracks, all in between a full European headlining tour, dates on Monsters Of Mayhem II (Hatebreed, Evergreen Terrace), and a mini east coast run with Madball. It is this drive and desire that has cemented Terror into the hearts of music fans worldwide and made them royalty within the touring front. Their new EP comes in a gatefold cover on colored vinyl.
TERROR - Rise Of The Poisoned Youth demo  7"  (Reaper)  EUR 5.00
Limited to 1000 copies, these are the 'blood tracks' demos.

Now available on vinyl with one additional bonus track. Vinyl version includes the entire album on CD.
TERRORIZE KIDS - History Repeats Itself  7"  (Search For Fame)  EUR 4.00
Released on the SNIFFING GLUE label, here's another young German band, delivering 5 intensely raging, aggressive tracks of REAL (old school) Hardcore. Influenced by the early DC- & Boston-stuff, by bands such JERRY’S KIDS, MINOR THREAT or GANG GREEN, and comparable to other more recent bands like CAREER SUICIDE or DEAD STOP!
THE GOLDEN AGE - Unlock Yourself  LP  (Panic)  EUR 14.00
'Unlock Yourself' has all the elements that one would love about medlodic hardcore. Heartfelt lyrics with incredible energy, backed with melodies and traditional hardcore beats. This record is far beyond what The Golden Age have accomplished in the past. Awesome lyrics that touch on subjects like straight edge and veganism and passionate delivery. This record will have you singing along in no time. Get into it! 'I am STRAIGHT EDGE, and I will always be!'
THE PAST THE PRESENT – A HISTORY OF EUROPEAN STRAIGHT EDGE 1982-2007  Book  (Refused)  EUR 20.00
108 pages, and over 250 photos documenting the straight edge scene in Europe. Straight Edge is a powerful subculture of a subculture. Punkrockers that don’t smoke, don’t drink and don’t do drugs are the outcasts of the outcasts. By following a timeline from 1982 to 2007 the straight edge authors tell the narrative of the European straight edge with the oral history from those who were there and from those that are still there, the people that made and still make it happen. The particular development of the European straight edge is described by five Dutch bands, each representing a different era. Starting with Lärm’s Do It Yourself punk ethics the straight edge scene in Europe has developed itself towards political activism of all sorts with a strong emphasis on vegetarianism and veganism as Eye of Judgement shows. Capturing the immense energy of a vibrant and vivid scene, The Past The Present contains stories from entire Europe, from Sweden to Spain and from Portugal to Poland. An essential document for anyone interested in hardcore or straight edge. The book ships with the LP version of 'The Past The Present', the debut full length from BIRDS OF A FEATHER! Housed in a gatefold cover and on colored vinyl.
THE SCARLET LETTER- Pure, Unadulterated-adultery  7"  (Assault)  EUR 3.00
Nine passionate tracks from New Jersey's The Scarlet Letter. The music is powerful and recalls the fury of '80s hardcore, while having some definite newer influences as well. Addding emotional and melodic parts to the mix of fast-paced, powerful and slightly psychotic punk rock, they’ve created their own blend of screamo hardcore that is highly original. What makes the Scarlet Letter stick out is their ability to successfully mix different styles. Ultra fast parts with melodic breaks, accentuated by different singers, and back to something else entirely. Somehow, they make this work again and again in songs that barely last a minute. Their musical complexity is matched by intelligently political lyrics that address serious issues. The 12-page booklet does not contain only the lyrics but explanations for every song, making it abundantly clear that these guys do not just play music- they have important things to say and want to be heard.
THERE'S NOTHING LIKE IT #3  fanzine  ()  EUR 3.00
The third issue of There's Nothing Like It fanzine has interviews with Paint It Black, Have Heart, Verse and Hostage Calm, plus reviews, columns and much more.
THIEVES AND ASSASSINS - s/t  7"  (Mindset Overhaul)  EUR 4.00
Thieves and Assassins are a melodic hardcore band from Long Island, New York. They feature former members of This Is Hell, The Backup Plan, Heads Vs Breakers, Subterfuge, Strongpoint and The Reformation. They play melodic hardcore akin to Bad Religion, Strike Anywhere, With Honor, Marathon and various bands from the west coast in the late 80's/early 90's. After two years of existence, two demos and three tours, this is their first bona fide release. Colored vinyl in stock!
THINK FAST - In The Name Of Fun  7"  (Coughing Up)  EUR 4.00
Rising from Phoenix, AZ Think Fast not only think, but play fast as well. Well, what do you expect if a band lists INFEST and LÄRM as their main influences? Raging hardcore punk not concerned with crews and shirt collections. This is their debut release on colored vinyl.
THINK FAST - Punch Out For Good  7"  (Coughing Up)  EUR 4.00
Their one-sided follow-up ep (limited to 400 copies) isn't as fast, but still punk as hell and even has a chorus part or two. The sings are still well under a minute, mind you. Get the latest FUCKED UP 12inch if you want experimental shit. ;-)
THINK FAST/ XFATALITYX split  7"  (Spacement)  EUR 4.50
Teaming up with straight edge kids XFatalityX from Reno, Nevada, Think Fast give us their latest release on black/clear split colored vinyl. I'm running out of things to say about these guys...
THINK I CARE - World Asylum  LP  (Bridge Nine)  EUR 10.00
Think I Care has only recently begun to earn the respect and recognition they've long deserved. Musically, picture four guys who grew up on early 80s Boston hardcore, give them copies of Celtic Frost's 'Morbid Tales' and Sheer Terror's 'Just Can't Hate Enough' and witness the mongrel it spawns. Lyrically, singer Jason Clegg's bitter and spiteful words reflect growing up an outcast in the industrial town of Winchendon, Mass, hit hard by factory closings and economic recession. Winchendon also has a rich tradition of producing some of the ugliest sounding hardcore to ever come out of the state, and Think I Care is no exception. Never dramatic, these guys play the best kind of hardcore; abrasive, and totally genuine. Colored vinyl in stock!
THIS IS HELL - Cripplers  7"  (Trustkill)  EUR 4.50
The This Is Hell 'Cripplers' EP features 1 brand new song, 2 unreleased songs and 3 covers that will make you tear your head off! On colored vinyl.
THIS IS HELL - Misfortunes  LP  (Trustkill)  EUR 11.00
After touring relentlessly in support of 'Sundowning,' Long Island's This Is Hell is releasing their sophomore album, 'Misfortunes.' This Is Hell has toured the US with such heavy hitters as Bane, Strike Anywhere, Modern Life Is War, Comeback Kid, and Ignite. No such luck in europe, where they opened for bands like Parkway Drive (and I managed to miss them). What you should take from Misfortunes is that from beginning to end, it is consistently kicking ass and taking names. This Is Hell begins and ends with vocalist Reilly’s bark. Passion, intensity, and anguish bleed from his vocals and give each track its personality. It’s raw, it’s fast, and it packs a punch not many albums this year will be able to match. It’s everything you love about music: it’s honest, in your face, and doesn’t give a damn.
THIS IS HELL - s/t  LP  (State Of Mind)  EUR 10.00
Long Islands’ hardcore touring machine This is Hell play a fast emotional sincere style of hardcore. The band is made up of members of the now defunct Scraps & Heart Attacks and The Back Up Plan . They unleashed a demonic curse upon the hardcore world with their debut MCD which is finally available on vinyl. Filled with choppy breakdowns and caustic screams and yells, This Is Hell proves that hardcore isn’t dead and doesn’t have to go veering off into gentrification. This is a one time pressing on a 1 sided etched vinyl 12inch.
THIS IS HELL - Sundowning  LP  (Trustkill)  EUR 10.00
Picking up where bands like American Nightmare left off, This Is Hell brings us 13 heart wrenching songs. Merging straightforward hardcore power with a newfound melodic sensibility, This Is Hell have made 'Sundowning' a near perfect contemporary hardcore release. Artwork/design by Jacob Bannon (Converge). Now available on colored vinyl with one additional bonus track.
THIS IS HELL - Warbirds  7"  (Think Fast)  EUR 4.50
In 2009, with the release of 'Warbirds,' This Is Hell is showing no signs of slowing down. The heartfelt conviction and energy of their previous releases is matched with a new found energy that's complemented by a production handled by legendary hardcore/ punk producer Jim Siegel. 'Warbirds' contains three brand new, original tracks as well as two covers (Warzone and The Cure) to round out the release. Free digital download.
THIS IS HELL/ NIGHTMARE OF YOU split  7"  (Run For Cover)  EUR 4.50
This unique split EP puts Trustkill touring machine This Is Hell and Long Island, NY's pop darlings Nightmare Of You head to head for a surprisingly contrasting release. You could call these two groups 'brother bands' as they offer up two exclusive tracks each holding over fans until their next full-length efforts. For fans of The Gallows, The Smiths and The Cure. On colored vinyl.
THIS SHIP WILL BURN - Servant Of Servants  7"  (Trashbastard)  EUR 4.00
THIS SHIP WILL BURN from Ontario/Canada play straightforward hardcore-punk in the vein of early FUCKED UP and BRUTAL KNIGHTS. This highly recommended EP contains 5 snotty, smoking tracks of melodic rock-tuned hardcore-punk. A fresh combination of mid-tempo growling vocals and driving rhythm. For fans of that typical canadian Deranged Records sound! A winner for sure.
THIS TIME AROUND - What's In Your Heart?  7"  (Sell Our Souls)  EUR 4.00
Finally the first record from these english kids has been released. Their debut vinyl release 'What's In Your Heart' gives you 4 tracks of great old school hardcore, influenced by bands like Chain Of Strength and melodic guitarwork comparable to Stay Gold or Champion. Add to that the fury from Striking Distance and you can't go wrong. Impressive. I have some copies on colored vinyl and some ltd. covers as well.
THIS TIME TOMORROW - Learning  7"  (New Eden)  EUR 4.50

THOUGHT CRUSADE - Common Man  7"  (Organized Crime)  EUR 4.00
In the '80s and early '90s, there was a passion and intensity to hardcore that became overshadowed with the apathy of popular music. Bands like Youth Of Today, Judge, Uniform Choice and No For An Answer took extreme pride in not only their music but in what their lyrics had to say. Formed by ex-vocalist of Expired Youth and Sidewalk, Ryan Wilson, Thought Crusade picks up where those bands left off. Comes with free digital download.
THOUGHT CRUSADE - It's Our War  7"  (Triple B)  EUR 4.50
In the 80s and early 90s there was a passion and intensity to hardcore that became overshadowed with the apathy of popular music. Bands like YOUTH OF TODAY, JUDGE, UNIFORM CHOICE and NO FOR AN ANSWER took extreme pride in not only their music but in what their lyrics had to say. Luckily, in the last few years there has been a resurgence of that passion. Chicago based THOUGHT CRUSADE is one such band. With their hook-laden music and a voice of conviction, one cannot help but be swept into their world. Formed by ex-vocalist of EXPIRED YOUTH and SIDEWALK, Ryan Wilson, THOUGHT CRUSADE picks up where those bands left off. Colored vinyl in stock.
THREAT DVD  DVD  (King Mob)  EUR 15.00
THREAT revolves around a street riot in NYC's Lower East Side. At the center of the riot are two friends (a homeless straightedge punk named Jim and a hip hop revolutionary father named Fred) who inadvertently cause the riot when they bring their street tribes together and fail to avoid a conflict that quickly spirals out of control. As the characters struggle through the chaos, some seeking to stop the violence and others seeking to escalate it, they face their own demons and find their own forms of redemption and damnation. THREAT is the first indie movie produced entirely within the NYC hardcore punk and underground hip hop communities to earn itself a theatrical release. Nearly 200 non-professionals in their teens and early 20s united behind the three-year effort to get THREAT's confrontational story on film. Together, they've created a film of such poetic rawness and raging intensity that it stands alone as the unique expression of youth rage created entirely by raging youth. Preorders only! Let me know if you want it and I'll get the DVD's!

THROWDOWN - Beyond Repair  LP  (Indecision)  EUR -
Straight Edge moshfest, cool as hell. Colored vinyl. best offer or trade.
THROWDOWN - Covered With Venom  7"  (Trustkill)  EUR 4.50
Orange County's Throwdown are tour veterans with previous history playing at Ozzfest, Sounds Of The Underground and Warped Tour as well as with bands like In Flames, Lamb Of God, As I Lay Dying, Sick Of It All, Norma Jean, Soulfly and Hatebreed. The songs 'Forever' and 'Burn' have been staples on MTV2's 'Headbanger's Ball' and Revolver Magazine called them part of 'the future of metal.' Limited edition run of 2,000 only with unreleased tracks.
THROWDOWN - Haymaker  LP  (Give Me Strength)  EUR 12.00
Here's what the label want us to believe about this: 'Throwdown have been the Orange County, California hardcore scene's flagship band since 1997, grabbing the torch lit by the seminal OC punk bands of the '80s and early '90s and carrying it to heretofore uncharted heights. Over the years they've shared members with Eighteen Visions, Death By Stereo and Bleeding Through, emerging first as a pile-up inciting joke band (yeah, yeah what's in a name?) but quickly developing into one of the most potent and vital bands in the worldwide hardcore landscape. The band smiles and laughs as the pent up frustrations from the daily grind, the 9-to-5, the dark and confusing times in which we live, are unleashed in cathartic release. Get sick.' While I admit having a soft spot for their previous releases and their outspoken straight edge hymns, the new LP left me pretty unimpressed. Their new singer sounds like Phil Anselmo, making Throwdown definitely heavier and tougher, but losing what charme they had in the process. Now finally available on awsome looking color vinyl!
THUMBS UP! - We're All Fucked  7"  (Room 13)  EUR 4.00
Thumbs Up! are from Philadelphia and play fast pissed off hardcore for fans of Negative Approach and Violent Minds. Eight fast trashers and a cover of 'The Customer Is Always Right' by the Pist. Colored vinyl while stocks last.
THURNEMAN - Tegelsten För Tegelsten   7"  (Sorry State)  EUR 4.50
3rd EP by this Stockholm, Sweden quartet, and it blows their other two outstanding efforts out of the water. Defying easy sub-sub-genre categorizations, Thurneman take the raw materials of straightforward 80s hardcore--blistering drums, frantic riffing, and hoarse, shouted vocals--and flesh them out with creative song structures and unique atmospheric touches. This potent combination of aggression and catchiness brings to mind early 80s classics like Hüsker Dü's Everything Falls Apart LP as well as Scandinavian rippers like Headcleaners and Missbrukarna.
TIME FOR CHANGE - Bye Bye Blackbird  7"  (Glory Kid)  EUR 5.00
This posthumous EP release from Southern California's own Time For Change sends the band off into the sunset with four tracks of fast, yet heavy, '90s-inspired hardcore in the vein of Trial, Strife, Chokehold and Undertow.
TIME FOR CHANGE - Wasting Away  7"  (Glory Kid)  EUR 4.50
Pomona, CA's Time For Change embrace the mid-'90s hardcore sound in a big way, conveying a positive, straight edge message through music not unlike that of Strife, Outspoken or Trial. Their comes in a full-color, gatefold cover on colored vinyl. Now signed to New Age Records.
TIME HAS COME - s/t  7"  (C.I)  EUR 4.50
Found two copies of this underrated ep on red vinyl. Four songs of fast hardcore with crushing breakdowns and some sick chorus parts. They would've been huge on any other label. Too bad this is from 1999 and the band is no longer around.
TIME TO ESCAPE - Cost Of Living  7"  (Grave Mistake)  EUR 4.00
For 'The Cost Of Living,' Time To Escape enlisted Brandon of Government Warning/ Direct Control fame to fill in on drums, adding a solid foundation for some raging early-'80s hardcore punk, with a final product that sounds like a modernized DC hardcore sound.
TIME TO ESCAPE - s/t  7"  (Grave Mistake)  EUR 4.50
Washington DC's TIME TO ESCAPE tear through five tracks no frills DC HARDCORE akin to early GOVERNMENT ISSUE or THE FAITH. Originally recorded as a demo with about 200 circulated, these tracks ripped too hard to fade into demo tape obscurity ... so here they are remastered and in vinyl format. Proof that our nation's capital can still churn out the fast, seething, pissed off hardcore that put it on the map in the first place. FIRST PRESS HAND NUMBERED OUT OF 500.
TIMEBOMBS - Nuke Everything  7"  (Cowabunga)  EUR 4,00
Sick as hell fast hardcore from Brea CA to be precise and they take the sound and slight melodies of old So Cal hardcore punk and blend that with the best elements of southern thrash hardcore bands of 83' like Koro and Hated Youth and the like making a potent mix. Fast, no nonsense hardcore punk in the vein of Double Negative and Direct Control, with eight tracks on this EP.
TIMEBOMBS, The - Doc Brown  7"  (TB)  EUR 4.00
Killer Old school >from some yougsters out of california. It sounds like they broke into MYSTIC STUDIOS to record this. If you like bands like Ill Repute, Dr. Know, and Scared Straight you're gonna flip your shit. Only 300 made so far, don't know if there will be a repress or not. It's self released by the band.
TIPPER'S GORE - Musical Holocaust  7"  (MRD)  EUR 4.00
Sick hardcore punk from Huntington Beach, CA. This is this bands debut ep with 6 songs of ripping 80's style hardcore. The first press is limited to 500, so jump on it. Think a little DRI, BGK, and other bands like that. Great old school looking cover art too! Just get it and see for yourself.
TIPPER'S GORE - Musical Holocaust & Live  CD  (Flat Black)  EUR 8.00
Sick hardcore punk from Huntington Beach, CA. Ripping 80's style hardcore. Think a little DRI, BGK, and other bands like that. Great old school looking cover art too! Just get it and see for yourself. This is the CD version of the seven inch plus 13 live tracks of old material, seven inch material, and unreleased material. 19 tracks in all. 80's styled hardcore.
TIPPER'S GORE - s/t  LP  (Flat Black)  EUR 10.00
Raw and thrashy hardcore from Southern California that captures the early 80's American hardcore sound perfectly - sounding as if they just fell out of the 'Rat Music for Rat People' or 'All's Quiet on the Western Front' comps. This is their third releases and it contains 12 new thrashy anthems of youthful outrage with a sound between early BLACK FLAG, BATTALION OF SAINTS, AGRESSION, etc.
TIPPER'S GORE - The First Four Months  CD  (Flat Black)  EUR 6.00
Early material from this 80's style hardcore band from Orange County, California. Think Negative Approach meets Black Flag. Nine songs.
TITLE FIGHT - Kingston   7"  (Six Feet Under)  EUR 5.00
Despite previously only releasing one EP, Eastern Pennsylvania's Title Fight has been on an upward trajectory, with a melodic, yet passionate and aggressive sound comparable to Hot Water Music and Small Brown Bike with the occasional speed of Lifetime and 'Can't Slow Down'-era Saves The Day and pop hooks of New Found Glory. These warriors of the open road have logged many moons touring with Cold World, Touche Amore, Four Year Strong, The Bled, This Time Next Year, Polar Bear Club, Shook Ones and many others. EP includes digital download.
TITLE FIGHT - The Last Thing You Forget  7"  (Run For Cover)  EUR 4.50
Starting in 2003 from the Wilkes Barre, PA hardcore scene, Title Fight have made waves in the past few years with their unique blend of '90s post-hardcore and east coast pop punk. Although comparisons have been made in the past to 'Can't Slow Down'-era Saves The Day, with just one listen to 'The Last Thing You Forget' it is evident that things have changed since 2007's 'Kingston.' Citing such influences such as Texas Is The Reason, Jawbreaker, Seaweed and Hot Water Music, 'The Last Thing You Forget' is three emotional blasts of contentious post-hardcore, summarizing the trials and tribulations of growing up alone and confused in a small east coast town. Vinyl version includes a download card with audio tracks and video documentary featuring recording footage and live songs.
TO KILL - Maelström   7"  (Hurry Up)  EUR 4.00
Brand new 2 songs + re-recorded old song + spoken word by Greg Bennik from Trial on a blue vinyl EP. Includes a coupon for a free MP3 download. Benefit for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
TO KILL - When Blood Turns Into Stone  LP  (DRA)  EUR 11.00
WHEN BLOOD TURNS INTO STONE is packed full of 11 crushing hardcore anthems that will melt your face off with a burning intensity that will be hard pushed to be matched throughout 2008. WHEN BLOOD TURNS INTO STONE is fast, furious and hard as nails twisting and turning through hurricane like fast parts and massive pumping grooves, all brought together with devastating breakdowns and passionate, heartfelt vocals from Josh that bleed pure emotion. With a slightly more metallic feel than it's predecessor, TO KILL's new offering showcases the band's maturity and progression in songwriting that never loses focus and always stays one step ahead of the game, bringing in slightly more metal influences without losing grasp of their hardcore roots that have served the band so well since their inception.
TO SEE YOU BROKEN - A Thief, A Poet, An Enemy  7"  (Excursion)  EUR 4.50
Crushing straightedge hardcore from this Washington based, all-female group. Powerful and moving music in the vein of Poison The Well. This is a novelty in the male dominated straight edge scene. They definitely know what they're doing, crushing melodic parts under heavy basslines and mosh parts. Right on.
TOGETHER - s/t   7"  (I For Us)  EUR 4.00
Very promising melodic hardcore band from Germany! This is passionate, this is sincere, this is hardcore! 3 songs. Digital download included.
TOMORROW TOMORROW - Epilogues  12"  (Drastic Actions)  EUR 7.00
Expect 7 songs of melodic, rough and snotty Punkrock in the vein of KID DYNAMITE, early LIFETIME and 80’s cali-punk from these fine Ibbenbüren-based youngsters! Out on a one-sided 12inch!
TOMORROW'S GONE - s/t  7"  (Element)  EUR 4.00
Do you remember when Hardcore was Hardcore, and not metal? The music that made you jump around your room and sing-along. That is exactly what you get here. Kind of a cross between DAG NASTY and CHAIN OF STRENGTH. This record doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Tomorrow's Gone evolved into FADED GREY.
TOTAL ABUSE - demo  7"  (Even Worse)  EUR 4.00
This records contains ex- THE SNOBS, who were one of the first US bands to hit with a really authentic retro-hardcore sound back early 00s. However, where THE SNOBS were pretty much doing straight up SOA/NEGATIVE APPROACH style hardcore, TOTAL ABUSE cite DEEP WOUND as an influence and it definitely shows. 'I Give Up' could have been on DEEP WOUND's EP, and proves that these Texans have once again captured all that is great about a particular sound from yesteryear. The other two tracks on the space aren’t as insanely fast, sounding more like MECHT MENSCH meets SIEGEe’s slow parts. Needless to say this thing is killer.
TOTAL ABUSE - s/t  LP  (Deranged)  EUR 12.00
The highly anticipated self-titled album from Total Abuse is a monster hardcore punk classic. A recent feature in Skyscraper magazine described the album as follows: 'Total Abuse's pungent blend of eighties thrash, grinding proto-grunge, and waves of both the new and old variety, distills every extreme punk subgenre of the last 30 years into a 25 minute barrage of shearing guitar noise and sonic annihilation.' I have nothing more to add.
TOTAL ABUSE - Sex Pig  7"  (Deranged)  EUR 4.50
The first vinyl offering by ex- Snobs will not disappoint. Their demo made some waves and these new tracks step it up a notch – just as raw and fast but way more controlled. Basic primal HC with loads of speed and hooks that’s been compared to a mix of DRI and early Boston HC like Deep Wound.
TOTSUGEKI SENSYA - Change The Future  7"  (Lengua Armada)  EUR 4.00
Hailing from Japan, Totsugeki Sensya unload a torrent of hardcore fury. Five tracks of angry, hard and pissed hardcore with distorted vocals and an underbelly of melody. There are bits of tasteful HELLSHOCK-style crust/ metal riffs thrown in as well!
TOUCHE AMORE - ...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse  LP  (6131)  EUR 11.00
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Touche Amore set themselves against the glamour and greed of their hometown culture with '...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse,' their passionate debut LP. The guitars bend and weave but always maintain their drive, the rhythms are frequently off kilter but never off-time and the vocals are screamed at the edge of breaking up but they're always exciting, pleasing even. Featuring guest vocals by Thursday's Geoff Rickly and Modern Life Is War's Jeff Eaton, '...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse' was recorded by Alex Estrada at Earth Capital Studios and mastered by Paul Miner (Suicide File, New Found Glory, Unbroken). On colored vinyl.
TOUCHxDOWN - demo  7"  (Malfunction/ Youngblood)  EUR 4.50
As I'm writing this, I'm still waiting on the covers and lyric sheets for this- all I have is the (red) vinyl. The fact that two renowed hardcore labels join forces to present you this little gem should alert you to the fact that this is crucial no frills (straight edge) hardcore, played fast and with energy to spare. There's a whole bunch of songs on side one while side two holds a live recording that reminds me of Side By Side.
TOWN OF HARDCORE  book&7"  (Eating Rats)  EUR 24.00
A collection of every issue of the impossible to find 'Town Of Hardcore' Fanzine. Over 300 pages of interviews with crucial bands like A-TEAM, ABUSIVE ACTION, AGNOSTIC FRONT, BROTHERHOOD, CRIMINALLY INSANE, CRAIG AHEAD, CRO-MAGS, DRUG TEST, THE FIRST STEP, FUCKED UP, GET REAL, HAYMAKER, IRON BOOTS, INTERNAL AFFAIRS, JUSTICE, KNIFE FIGHT, KRAKDOWN, LAST RITES, MENTAL, MIND ERASER, NEGATIVE APPROACH, NEOS, NO WARNING, PROWL, PUNCH IN THE FACE, RAW DEAL, RIGHTEOUS JAMS, R'N'R, URBAN BLIGHT, SHEER TERROR, SO BE IT, STATE, TERROR, THINK I CARE, UNDERDOG, VIOLENT MINDS and more. If you can't (be bothered) to read through it all, listen to the bonus ep with unreleased live tracks from FUCKED UP and THINK I CARE. Highly recommended!
TRAGEDY - Nerve Damage  LP  (Feral Ward)  EUR 12.00
'Nerve Damage' is undoubtedly the most anticipated release from any DIY hardcore band for 2006. Tragedy’s long awaited 3rd LP is a powerhouse of melody, brooding darkness, and hard hitting d-beat hardcore. Ten tracks. Tragedy is one of the most well known and well respected hardcore DIY hardcore bands currently dragging their asses all over the world to play punk gigs. 'Nerve Damage' does not disappoint. Ex-members of His Hero Is Gone, From Ashes Rise, Copout, Severed Head of State, Call The Police, Criminal Damage, Deathreat, Well Away, Uranus, etc, etc… Comes in a beautiful (and expensive) gatefold cover. Last copies of the sold out 1st press.
TRAINWRECK - Of Concrete Canyons & Inner Wastelands  LP  (Vendetta)  EUR 10.00
The new full length from TRAINWRECK. 8 new killer songs by one of the best german hardcore bands at the moment. Those 8 songs are the heaviest shit they wrote so far and by the time the best ones they recorded. It reminds me a lot on the TAKARU LP - just more heavy and also on some parts of Burial Year. Nice coverartwork by NIKOLAUSHAUS design.
TRANZMITORS - s/t  7"  (Deranged)  EUR 4.50
This is one of 3 singles from the same recording session to be coming out in early 2006 by Vancouver's super group. Formed in the fall of 2004, the TRANZMITORS are comprised of guitarist Jeffie Genetic (NEW TOWN ANIMALS, SMUGGLERS), bassits Fergus (EMERGENCY, the STRIKE), drummer Bryce Dunn (SMUGGLERS, VINDICATORS, NEW TOWN ANIMALS) and guitarist Nick Thomas (SMUGGLERS, TONICS, BUM). Heavily influenced by the BUZZCOCKS and the UNDERTONES, THE TRANZMITORS play upbeat powerpop punk and do it extremely well.
TRANZMITORS - s/t  LP  (Deranged)  EUR 11.00
Formed in the winter of 2004, The Tranzmitors came together to fill a much-overlooked void in the rock 'n' roll scene in Vancouver, BC. Containing ex- and current members of The Smugglers, The New Town Animals and The Parallels, the power pop combo take their musical cues from bands like The Buzzcocks, The Undertones and The Exploding Hearts. They've shared stages with The Clorox Girls, The Spits, The Pointed Sticks and Fucked Up among others and have released records that have won over the critics at Terminal Boredom, Razorcake, Exclaim and Maximum Rockandroll magazines.
TRANZMITORS - Teenage Tragedy  7"  (Deranged)  EUR 4.50
Acting as a precursor to an upcoming full-length, the 'Teenage Tragedy' single is the second for the Tranzmitors on Deranged and is a quick blast of dancy early mod punk taking influence from bands like The Jam and The Buzzcocks.
TRAP THEM - Seance Prime  7"  (Deathwish)  EUR 5.00
Easily their heaviest release to date, 'Seance Prime' was recorded by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at Godcity Studios. It's a tornado of D-beat hooks, frantic bursts of speed and earth shaking dirges. Erasing the line between metal and punk with every unpredictable twist and turn it takes, 'Seance Prime' proves that Trap Them are one of the most relevant and interesting bands in the aggressive music scene today.
TRAP THEM - Seizures In Barren Praise  LP  (Deathwish)  EUR 12.50
Once again engineered by Kurt Ballou at Godcity Studios, 'Seizures In Barren Praise' shows Trap Them at their most vicious. Having mastered the art of aural bludgeoning, the album musically rips, stomps, and claws forth with rabid emotion - all of this a fitting backdrop to Ryan McKenney's lyrical stories of depression and pain. Now available on colored vinyl with a double-gatefold cover.
TRAP THEM - Sleepwell Deconstructor  LP  (Trash Art)  EUR 12.50
'Prepare. Put on your mask. Put on your gloves. This is jihad, built from the ground up by members of Backstabbers Inc and December Wolves to set fire to burning resentments. These are not desperate youth with cliches to spit and nowhere to turn; these are men who have lived for their art. This is blistering, grind-infused punk and metal for worshippers of Entombed, Tragedy, Rotten Sound, Nasum and Discharge. This is Trap Them, and they are prepared to break down your front door and put their art right in your face.' Available on 180-gram virgin vinyl with a gatefold cover. Vinyl version includes digital download.
TRAPPED UNDER ICE - demo  7"  (Flatspot)  EUR 4.00
Baltimore's Trapped Under Ice present their demo on 7inch format, with five songs of heavy urban hardcore that takes cues from bands like Cold World and Breakdown but with nastier breakdowns. On colored vinyl.
TRAPPED UNDER ICE - Secrets Of The World  LP  (Reaper)  EUR 14.00
Continuing where 2008's 'Stay Cold' EP left off, 'Secrets Of The World' is the twelve-track full length from Maryland's new standard bearers of hardcore. The album is designed to inspire self-reflection in a world that leaves you beaten and bleeding. For fans of Crown Of Thorns, Madball and Terror. Vinyl version includes digital download.
TRAPPED UNDER ICE - Stay Cold  7"  (Reaper)  EUR 4.50
Hailing from the port city of Baltimore, Maryland comes the war-mammoth known as Trapped Under Ice, who proudly inherit and build upon the mantle of their predecessors Next Step Up and Gut Instinct. Compound this with the sonic territories explored by New York bands such as Crown Of Thorns and Breakdown, and the intent of the outfit becomes obvious - total aural brutality. This EP contains 6 tracks of unrelenting hardcore reality and includes free digital download with purchase.
TRASH TALK - East Of Eden  7"  (TTC)  EUR 6.00
This is the second pressing of 'East Of Eden' and it continues Trash Talk's legacy of fast, dangerous hardcore that features guest vocals from none other than Keith Morris of Black Flag and Circle Jerks. On colored vinyl.
TRASH TALK - Plagues  7"  (Malfunction)  EUR 4.50
Comprised of six violent anthems to the diseased and destructive survivors of a dead world, 'Plagues' is Trash Talk's dizzying soundtrack to the impending and unavoidable apocalypse. With every explosive note, they delve deeper into that bleak vision. Colored vinyl in stock.
TRASH TALK - s/t  LP  (Reflections)  EUR 11.50
Picking up where 'Plagues' left off, Trash Talk's debut LP delves deeper into the abyss surrounding their last chaotic release. Recorded in just under two days at Chicago's Electrical Audio and employing the genius of Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies, Neurosis), Trash Talk has continued to push the envelope of extreme music. Grinding guitars paired with heavy yet somber bass lines provide the battlefield for harsh dueling vocals to wage war over twelve instant classics. Gatefold cover.
TRASH TALK - Walking Disease  7"  (Six Feet Under)  EUR 5.00
Trash Talk delivers a 7 inch full of lightning fast bursts of speed leading into plentiful mosh parts, combined with a darker approach that sets them apart from the pack of bands attempting the same sound in 2007. 'Walking Disease' is over before you realize what's happened to you and leaves the listener feeling like they've been slapped across the face. Already dominating California with their out of control live show, Trash Talk is poised to become the next chapter in essential fast hardcore. Originally released as a cd only, the vinyl version features all new art by artist Jason Goldberg.
TRASH TALK/ STEEL TRAP split 7  7"  (Spiderghost)  EUR 4.00
Steel Trap and Trash Talk are two of NorCals most promising young bands, each delivering their own style of unrelenting hardcore fury that combines both traditional hardcore, punk rock, and metal in that unbridled fashion that is so unique to the legendary NorCal hardcore scene. Steel Trap play heavy, breakdown-laden hardcore akin to Biohazard and Terror with Trash Talk taking cues from faster bands like Outbreak.
TRIAL BY FIRE - Ringing In The Dawn  LP  (Jade Tree)  EUR 11.00
This is a cross between AVAIL; STRIKE ANYWHERE and HOT WATER MUSIC. If you're into any of these three bands I strongly suggest that you pick this record up. You won't be disappointed. Colored vinyl in stock.
TRIBUTE #1  fanzine  ( )  EUR 2.00/5.00
New Fanzine from germany. 24 pages with interviews with Death Threat , H2O, Bridge Nine and Justice. I have a few copies that come with a ltd. edition of the Solid Ground demo EP, please specify if you want that.
TRIPLE THREAT - Into The Darkness LP (Bridge Nine) EUR 10.00  LP  (Bridge Nine)  EUR 10.00
The idea was simple and natural, yet its distinction lay in the details: straight edge hardcore rooted in the message and power of Minor Threat and Youth Of Today that also nods in appreciation to the bands that Tim McMahon (Mouthpiece, Hands Tied, Face The Enemy) and Ed McKirdy (Hands Tied, The Killing Flame, Face The Enemy) had dissected through their youth. Black Flag, SSD, The Germs, Motorhead, Corrosion Of Conformity, Circle Jerks, Bl'ast! and Danzig were just a few bands whose contributions have rubbed off heavily on the conceptualization of this new McMahon/McKirdy unit. Colored vinyl in stock.
TRIPLE THREAT - Live At CBGB  7"  (Livewire)  EUR 6.00
Out of nowhere comes the first Livewire release in what feels like years. A TRIPLE THREAT live ep that must be rather limited, because it's already sold out from the label eventhough it was never available to wholesale customers. That, as well as the troubled release history is to blame for the unfortunately steep price on this. Get it here or from ebay, but I'm pretty sure that's it for options.
TRISTESS - Bara rock'n'roll  7"  (Kick N Punch)  EUR 4.00
Four songs of late 70's inspired Swedish Punk Rock - very fucking catchy!
TROUBLE, The - Nobody Laughs Anymore  LP/CD  (Painkiller)  EUR 10.00/12.00
THE TROUBLE are trouble, indeed. Tearing apart the Boston punk and hardcore scene from 1995 to 99, THE TROUBLE paved the way for Boston hardcore cornerstones AMERICAN NIGHTMARE, PANIC, and many more. Nobody Laughs Anymore is THE TROUBLE's first LP, first released on GMM records and long since out-of print. But the people have spoken. This record needs to be heard. It is a perfect blend of sweaty punk anthems and in-your-face hardcore, with lyrics telling the tales of disenfranchised Boston youth growing up in a world that doesn't understand them. Although it's 2005, THE TROUBLE's impact can be felt throughout the Boston scene, in the sound of today's band as well as the members themselves. Singer Gibby fronted Boston hardcore outfit PANIC for two years. I listen to this daily.
TROUBLED COAST - 100 Miles From Home   10"  (Creator-Destructor)  EUR 8.00
Northern California upstart quintet Troubled Coast crank out 10 tracks of fast, passionate and melodic hardcore seamlessly blending elements of The Suicide File, Shook Ones and Shai Hulud.
TROUBLEMAKER - s/t  7"  (Neutral Territory)  EUR 4.50
Troublemaker is pissed. I'm talking really pissed. The thing is, although this style of music already has an angry demeanor, Troublemaker's vocals seal the deal. They remind me of Lights Out, but more miserable. The lyrics, with lines such as 'No one will ever fucking love me' and 'I can't fucking take all these dissapointed stares, all your judgement lays heavier than you'd like to think', radiate a hopeless and negative attitude. This stuff makes you grit your teeth. The music style doesn't scream originality, but Troublemaker manages to roll up properties from different sectors of hard music into a tightly packed burrito of rage. Intricate and interesting drum patterns also stand out in the recordings, mixing typical and simple hardcore portions with blast beats or even technical but not necessarily blazingly fast areas. It's fun to listen to. Ceremony fans take note.
TROUBLESOME - This Hell  7"  (Street Survival)  EUR 4.00
Troublesome reflects Pennsylvania Hardcore at its finest. The band features ex and current members of such PAHC staples of today including CDC, Straight Up! and What It Takes but don't expect to hear any of those bands when you put on a Troublesome record. Expect hard, in your face music and gritty lyrics reflecting the suburban wastelands outside Philadelphia. For fans of Terror, Trapped Under Ice and Reign Supreme.
TRUE COLORS - Focus On The Light  LP  (Powered)  EUR 11.50
Former JUSTICE-guitarplayer Dunk and Packo from BUILDING started a Straight Edge band that would sound like YOUTH OF TODAY’s ‘Break down the walls’ and the TURNING POINT demo, with maybe a small hint of IN MY EYES. The 1st full-length is out now and full of emotional and melodic hardcore. The sound is fat and raw at the same time while the vocals always maintain to stay on top of the riffs. Innovative songwriting backed by strong lyrics which not always offer you the wisdom of the world but still manage to develop their own charm. Embossed covers and colored vinyl too.
TRUE COLORS - Focus On The Light  LP  (Six Feet Under)  EUR 11.00
At the forefront of the European hardcore scene is True Colors, who at times recall the sound of Turning Point or Youth of Today, but with an updated, modern approach. True Colors don't reinvent the wheel but instead do the classic youth crew sound right, with no corny poses or bore-core parts. It is a style sorely missing in today's hardcore. 'Focus On the Light' already made waves in Europe and sold out it's pressing on Powered Records, so Six Feet Under has decided to press it again and bring it to American soil for 2008. Some of the freshest, most energetic straight edge hardcore of today is being made by True Colors of Belgium.
TRUE COLORS - Perspective  7"  (Powered)  EUR 4.00
Former JUSTICE guitarplayer Dunk and Packo from BUILDING started a sXe band that sounds like YOUTH OF TODAY’s ''Break down the walls'' and the TURNING POINT demo, with maybe a small hint of IN MY EYES. Doing better than last years 'Focus on the light' isn't exactly supereasy but this records blows our minds away. TRUE COLORS has been working real hard on these songs and that's something you can definitely hear.
TRUE COLORS - Rush Of Hope  LP  (Powered)  EUR 11.00
The new TC LP is finally here. 12 tracks of the finest straight edge hardcore europe has to offer. This is a bit more melodic than their previous effort without losing any of the ferociousness that made their previous releases stand out. Gnarly vocals that bear more than a passing resemlance to Ray Cappo and YOT, positive lyrics, chorus parts, it's all here, wrapped in an awesome gatefold sleeve. Not to be missed.
TRY HARDER - s/t  7"  (Straight On)  EUR 4.50
Ten songs of vicious straight edge hardcore that provides you with everything you expect from a hardcore record. Not straying too far from the mold, this is something for the youth crew kid in all of us. Fast and furious- hell, it's TEN songs! Colored vinyl available.
TUMULT - s/t  LP  (Per Koro)  EUR 7.50
Their long-awaited full-length, 22 furious songs.
TURN AWAY - Ways To Say It, Ways To Get it  CD  (Day By Day)  EUR 9.00
10 new and awesome songs from the girls and boys in turn away. Needles to say, but this records will kick your ass, again and again. Energetic melodic hardcore in the vein of CIV, Gorilla Biscuits and some Kid Dynamite that make you long for the summer. This is positive and feel good hardcore with a welcome punk influence
TURN THE SCREW - s/t  7"  (Not Just Words)  EUR 4.00
Four snobs representing the new breed of the flourishing Belgian hardcore scene. These youngsters deliver 9 fresh songs with lots of energy and an early Lockin' Out vibe. Knife Fight and Negative Approach come to mind, as well as Mental, DYS and Stop and Think.
TURN THE TIDE - What's Behind These Eyes  72  (Commitment)  EUR 4.00
Turn The Tide started out as a project in Ocotber 2006, when people involved in several other Finish hardcore bands, decided it was time for a straight edge band playing traditional hardcore in Finland again, as such a band had been lacking since the breakup of On A Solid Rock. Although Turn The Tide take the inspiration for their sound clearly from the classic youthcrew bands, their sound also contains elements of melodic punkrock and even classic rock, with raw production adding an extra sting. Shouted by a voice that sometimes brings Ian MacKaye to mind, the lyrics on their debut EP are reflections of everyday life and relations with other people: greed, love, self-confidence and personal choices and growth.
TURN THE TIDE FANZINE #3    ()  EUR 2.50
Interviews with RISE & FALL, Jan Capeet and lots of photos and columns!
