Blistering fast hardcore isn't new to London, Ontario's About To Snap, who follow up their demo with these nine tracks. Their sound is a go-for-the-throat blend of speed, intensity and nihilism that combines all of the best elements of Negative Approach, Striking Distance and Voorhees. Colored vinyl in stock!

Portland punk rock band The Absolute Rulers present their first record, an EP featuring the songs Live the Dream and Damnation. This record is a high energy thriller of loud guitars and brutally honest lyrics. Individually numbered in a limited edition with unique arigato style packaging and raspberry colored vinyl, Live the Dream is destined to be a classic. Limited to 600 copies and sold out everywhere, I've managed to track down a few copies.

The brand new Abusive Action ep called 'Fueled' is finally here and hits hard. Continuing where they left off with their selftitled debut, Abusive Action deliver four brand new songs, definately their very best so far (how cliche but how true). Take their previous stuff, add some more groove, heaviness, Breakdown and (early) Madball influences and you know what to expect. Sweet.

Singer Dennis Lyxzen and bassist David Sandstrom - formerly of Sweden's Refused,
one of the most innovative and influential bands of the '90s - have reunited, but AC4
is clearly a hardcore band: old-school, stripped-down, influenced by early-'80s
American bands, and minus the radical sonic tinkering and texturing of Refused.

Taking their influences from a variety of bands such as Have Heart, Modern Life Is War, Verse or Defeater, ACCEPT THE CHANGE has come up with their very own mixture of modern hardcore. Listening to "Escapism", it's hard to imagine this to be their debut record, that's how strong it is. The songwriting is anchored by the passionate lyrics from singer Tom: "Escapism" is about the vicious circle of giving up and having to start over, only to hit the ground again. In these songs I talk about the things that I went through and how I felt about it. Starting out like all teenagers uncertain and anxious sinking to the blackest depths of major depression it's a journey through my mind. It will not be the most touching story you'll ever hear. But I can assure you it's real." "Escapism" is personal and deeply honest. There's no doubt that these five friends have poured their hearts into these tracks. They've come up with the perfect way to express their emotions through their music. Raw and sincere, you'll do more than hear these songs... you'll feel them. On colored vinyl.

On their third 7", Albany, NY's Acid Reflux tone down the manic hardcore of their first two records and go for a more early '80s Los Angeles or perhaps Midwest punk sound that is comparable to Angry Samoans, Clitboys, Circle Jerks and Zero Boys.

Sick of those bands that are too serious for their own good? Well, look no further. ACID REFLUX is here to put the FUN back in Hardcore Punk! Completely sarcastic and funny lyrics belted out over some very intense hardcore punk is what you get here. This ep contains selected tracks from their unbelievable demo. However, they are remastered, resequenced and ON VINYL! 8 songs in 8 minutes, need we say more?

Acid Tiger are a Brooklyn, NY based progressive rock/punk hybrid, featuring Converge/United Nations drummer Ben Koller and guitarist Lukas Previn (United Nations, Thursday, The A.K.A.s) among their ranks. Recorded and engineered by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios, Acid Tiger's self titled debut is about as eclectic and vibrant as they come. Drive Like Jehu/Hot Snakes vocal sass, All/Descendents influenced fret board gymnastics and drumming, and the soulful darkness of The Cult and Murder City Devils are all apparent in their collective roar.

Straight out of the UK comes Affirmation, playing straight edge-styled hardcore in the vein of recent favorites Carry On and Count Me Out. Intelligent, melodic hardcore from Birmingham reminiscent of Turning Point (there's a cover of 'Broken' on here as well). This CD includes the new EP and their demo, 11 songs total.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION JACKSON are a piss-take hardcore thrash band whose music has all the snotty attitude you could ever hope for. If you dig bands whose middle fingers are waving at all time but still know how to wield their instruments and rip through some first-rate thrash, this is for you. Almost everyone of these songs was recorded on the first take and the raw delivery is the icing on the cake. Instead of the hyperthrashing sound that is all the rage today, AAJ are more reminiscent of the early 80s sound that would later be known as power violence. SOUND OF FAILURE deliver screaming emo hardcore songs that bring to mind Usurp Synapse and early era Jeromes Dream. The SKEWBALD cover points the way.

Like the bastard child of Sheer Terror and the Teen Idles, this is hardcore in all it's raw, ugly, depressive glory while staying true musically to the bands that laid the foundation for harDCore. I got a few more copies of their debut release on yellow vinyl.

On their second EP, Minneapolis, MN's The Agenda speed things up a little, injecting more urgency into their already sloppy, raw, early-'80s inspired hardcore punk that isn't afraid to get zany.

Brand new from one of the most polarizing bands in hardcore right now, Philadelphia?s AGITATOR are back with their second 7? ?WALLS CLOSING IN?. They first came to our attention when SFU talent scout Bob Wilson said ?yo put this band out?, but Bob has terrible taste in bands usually, so it took until last years ?Enter The Vicelords? on Harvcore Records and their wild set at TIH for SFU to really take notice. 5 tracks of brutal heavy straight edge hardcore featuring guest vocals on the title track by the world famous Joe Hardcore, and by world infamous Justin Ogden on ?Force Fed Lies?.
