In a scene littered with metal disguised as hardcore, pop rock disguised as punk, Baltimore's Slumlords are rapidly gaining worldwide popularity because of their direct style of straight up old fashioned hardcore and street punk. Having paid their dues in such bands as Breakdown (Jeff Perlin vocals), Day Of Mourning, Comin' Correct, Next Step Up, this is where it all began.

With two solid ep's under their belt, this three piece swedish outfit joins the Deranged roster. This ep will turn some heads for sure, because it's a change for the well- known canadian label. Smalltown have been compared to the likes of Stiff Little Fingers and Newtown Neurotics and that's probably as good a comparison as it gets. Tuneful melodic punk rock with slightly raspy vocals.

Finally, the first Smalltown full length, 'The Music' continues where the 'Years, Months' ep left off. More of the same great melodic, mod influenced punk. Ultra catchy, anthemic songs with raw tuneful vocals and teeth clenching riffs. Think the Strike and Stiff Little Fingers. Their last single was hailed as 'one of the best discs of the decade' in Maximum Rock N Roll. 12 brilliant tracks which are bound to grab a whole lot of attention.

Finally, a long-player from the almighty Smart Cops. Already known worldwide for crafting some of the most infectious, hook-filled hardcore in the world, Italy's Smart Cops up the catchiness ante even further on their first slab of big vinyl. While the foundation is still based on tough and aggressive '80s hardcore, the band's songwriting chops have matured considerably, and while it might be shocking at first to hear these guys with such big, glossy production, you'll quickly realize that this release takes everything you already loved about Smart Cops and turns it up to 11. On 180g vinyl.

Drawing their membership from now-defunct powerhouses La Piovra and Ohuzaru, Italy's Smart Cops add a dash of bratty classic punk to those bands' driving Italian hardcore sound while the snotty, sarcastic vocals and blistering rhythm section keep the energy levels consistently off the charts, bringing to mind bands like Career Suicide, Government Warning, Angry Samoans and The Freeze. On colored vinyl.

Snake Eyes are a new LA hardcore band featuring members and ex-members of Carry On, Terror, Internal Affairs, and Donnybrook. They play straight up hardcore the way it was meant to be played, full of aggression and power. Fast harcore with heavy breakdowns, the lyrical content is on the bleak and negative side of things, ready to fight. An impressive debut, not to be missed if you're into the bands mentioned above. Five songs on this professionally produced CD.

Fucking crucial, why the hell don't you own this already? SNIFFING GLUE is one of the best new upcoming bands out of germany (with members from THE ITALIAN STALLION) - hands down! You'll get 15 sloppy punk-influenced hardcore tracks. The sound is somewhere between those hyped stateside Grave Mistake & No Way bands (GOVERNMENT WARNING, DIRECT CONTROL etc.), with nods to classic bands of yesteryear like CIRCLE JERKS and 'My war & Damaged' era BLACK FLAG. A strong emphasis on catchy riffs combined with plentiful tempo changes and gang vocals. it's a rager and it's dirty, snotty as ape shit. Put down that goofy shit and hear something that is crucial, something that will lead you away from the path of shitty bands, again..! Nicely packed in an awesome cover! Well if you don't have this album get it.

Here is the 2nd vinyl release from SNIFFING GLUE. Yet again you'll get completely insane hardcore-punk in the best '80s reagan-era style. Incredible lyrics belted out over furious yet catchy songs really put this over the top. Cool trebly guitar attack with some fist-pumping tempos to satisfy all hardcore-heads. The EP is strictly limited to 300 copies.

Nine tracks of pure early 80s USHC Punk influenced by Black Flag, 7 Seconds, Circle Jerks
and Channel 3. But this is more than a simple copy, they've managed to find their own sound,
supported by sarcastic and intelligent lyrics. Highly recommended!

The band's final offering, this 7" is five tracks of intense, early '80s hardcore mixed with late '70s punk from all around the globe. More anger and speed than previous releases, Social Circkle manages to exit on their most manic note while still maintaining the melody and catchy hooks of their "Static Eyes" 7".

A SOCIAL CIRCKLE LP! Finally, more than just a few songs for our enjoyment. If you've heard their previous EPs and compilation tracks, then you know they are an all around solid Hardcore-Punk band. I think it's safe to say they've outdone themselves here. You'll have to be the judge of that. As for the tunes present here, they've combined melody with speed on all the right levels. You can hear late 70's Punkrock from all around the globe as well as intense early 80's HC in their sound. It's another winner from SOCIAL CIRCKLE, and you won't be let down.
