Final 7" from this young Bay Area band with a lot of familiar faces. I think these guys often got the "mysterious guy HC" tag, and indeed this has that sloppy, noisy, and ugly sound that's very much akin to the kind of stuff Youth Attack puts out... the basic foundation is just wild and fast hardcore, but the way that lead overdubs come in super loud and songs start off with noisy skronk gives it that distinctly "artsy" vibe. Still, this is fucking rager and if you're into Sex/Vid or the best bands on Youth Attack you'll dig this. Killer artwork too!

For ?I.V.? the band?s Deathwish debut, Loma Prieta once again worked with longtime collaborator Jack Shirley (Atomic Garden Studio). With his guidance Loma Prieta tracked to tape 12 songs intensely emotional songs. Written during a time of great personal suffering and transition for the band "I.V." is the creative culmination of those collective experiences. From the opening breath of ?Fly by Night?, Loma Prieta crash and bang melody and discord together into one beautiful work of art. This grinding theme continues throughout "I.V." in stunning songs like the aptly named three parter "Trilogy 4, 5, and 6". Creating a powerful and unpredictable ebb and flow to their emotional outpouring. As the dust settles on the distorted haze in closer "Diamond Tooth", an artistic coherency and clarity emerges that can only be described as Loma Prieta. A new kind of melancholy chaos that should be familiar, yet challenging, to those who enjoy bands like Love Lost But Not Forgotten, Pg. 99, La Quiete, and the ilk.

Barrow are a Greensboro, North Carolina based band who play an amazing style of music that seemlessly blends hardcore, post hardcore, and elements of screamo with flourishes of post rock into a cohesive formula that makes for an incredible listen. The band takes the emotive nature of bands such as Pianos Become The Teeth, La Dispute, and Caravels and add elements of melody and post rock to their sound, which results in eight songs of epic, brutal, and intense music.

Bringing two energetic, but diversified, contemporary hardcore acts together in one pure and primal slab of wax, Nails And Skin Like Iron have collaboratively self-release this split 7" EP. The split leads off with two tracks of Skin Like Iron's melodic, yet abrasive, hardcore, boasting an ambitious and emotive energy that many similar contemporary acts lack in severely. The B-side of this crushing joint venture is owned by Nails, hailing from Oxnard, CA (the same town as the legendary Dr. Know), and undoubtedly one of the most devastating acts within the present expanses of hardcore.

"The Difference In Good And Bad Dreams" is Daylight's third proper EP in as many years and a precursor building up to next year's much anticipated debut full-length. These four new songs mark the Doylestown, PA quintet's most focused and diverse record yet. The tempo of the music harkens to brooding, patient mid-'90s post hardcore a la Fugazi or Quicksand, lending to a desperate undercurrent running beneath the songs. 7" includes digital download. On colored vinyl.

Four diasporic ragers based in London release 6 songs of fast fury at the state of the nation. After a positive response to the demo released early 2011, STAB continue to look back at 80s UK Hardcore whilst dissecting the now, turning their backs on the current wave of whinging punk prophesying end times to justify inaction and indifference. Bringing their cultural backgrounds together amidst recent events such as riots, failed protests and the isolationism of their island home, STAB attempts to pierce both soundwaves and minds with this record. Fans of loud, fast noise take note! Recorded and mixed by James Atkinson (Voorhees, Gentleman's Pistols).

It was about time that these unruly Uppsala punks got their shit the fuck together. Many of us have waited a long time for UndergÄng to finally wake from the dead and make an LP. They are the type of band that can leave a true mark, set milestones and record that piece of music that a time and place in hardcore is remembered by. From the insane drum beats of Uno and bass work of Frank in the ultra-tight rhythm section, via the blazing guitar battles of Johannes and Einar, and forward all the way to the barb-wire deathmatch that is the dual vocals of Affe and Crippe, two of the biggest mongoloids ever to share a stage in this country.
The Mother of Armageddon, huh? I guess that's one way to label it. Or a call to the downcast spirits of Occult hunger. A ghost of former splendor checking its reflection in a mountain of meth. An anointing of the unchosen. A ritualistic celebration of the scorned and wrong, high on virtuous violence and disregard. For anything and everything. A decaying phoenix bird, rising from the ashes of plague pits. Picking on your eardrums like Mortar fire, like Absinthe sucked through a straw and spat in your eye. Gashed foreheads, no fucks given. In 500 fucking kilometers an hour.
Or, you could just say that it's a hand full of maniacs who have reached a level of brilliance at what they're doing. Which is to play faster than you, tighter than you, harder than you. To hit more furiously, spit longer, set the musket sights higher. To aim kicks at your nose and land them on your free will. You know you shouldn't come close, but you're drawn to it. The violence, the chaos, the ZZ Top cover. You wake up in the gutter with limbs missing and an untamable urge to do it again. And again.
UndergÄng's debut LP "The Mother of Armageddon" is the one you can't get away from.

After having been in limbo for the better part of 30 years, we are proud to bring you the long lost "BASIC TRAINING" E.P. by Norfolk, VA's FRONT LINE. Commonly known as the "Second Demo" by tape traders over the years, this was recorded in October of 1982 shortly before the band imploded, leading to the formation of BONESAW and eventually GOD'S WILL. "BASIC TRAINING" features 10 tracks of primal and vicious USHC not unlike fellow Virginians WHITE CROSS with whom they shared the stage many times over their brief existence. Select tracks from this session would go on to be featured on compilations like THE MASTER TAPE VOL. 2 on Paul Mahern's Affirmation Records (along side bands like MECHT MENSCH, ZERO BOYS, NO LABELS, and many more) and the legendary all Virginia TARANTULA ON MY COCK tape that guitarist Jeff Clites would release in 1983, but this is the first time all of these songs have officially appeared together the way they were meant to. Raging Southern Hardcore at it's finest. Comes in a glue pocket sleeve containing a 7"x14" insert with liner notes and a collage of photos and flyers from the band's year long run, along with a sticker and a download code. Limited to 500 copies.

With the proper amount of melody and drive that hasn't been seen since the days of Texas Is The Reason, Young English takes us back to the mid '90s where the underground emo-punk sound reigned and felt special. The first EP titled "I Hate My Friends" was written in the span of three months and recorded with Alan Goot. The "I Hate My Friends" EP is the perfect soundtrack for the winter ahead of us and will carry us through until the spring when Young English will release their follow-up LP that will more than likely be the soundtrack for the summer of 2012. 7" includes digital download. On colored vinyl.

The classic first 7" from Discharge circa 1980. A monumental record that helped jumpstart the hardcore movement around the world. This is one of a handful of records from 1980 that pushed '70s punk into the bleak era of the 1980's hardcore scene. Discharge set the standard with their raw and uncompromising visual style and unbridled hardcore punk music.

It's 1981, the cold war rages, threatening to turn hot at any moment as Reagan, Thatcher, and Brezhnev seem poised to destroy the world in a descent to nuclear madness. Using cover art appropriated from 1930s anti-fascist agit-prop, Discharge links the bleak reality of Thatcher's Britain with the descent to totalitarian oppression and war of an earlier generation. A bit more polished than the first three EPs and the "Why?" 12", "Never Again" delivers three blasts of hardcore punk.
