The UK's Violent Arrest return with 12 brand new raging hardcore blasts on two 45 RPM EPs. Refusing to let up one bit from their first two releases on Deranged, V.A. continues to pummel you from start to finish with their savage brand of early US-by-the-way-of-UK hardcore. If spending the last two decades in classic UK bands like Heresy, Ripcord, Dumbstruck and Spite (to name a few) wasn't testament enough to these lads' abilities, 'Criminal Record' proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that these HC vets can still rip it up with the best of them.

Featuring 75% of the line up of UK hardcore punk legends RIPCORD, you know already that VIOLENT ARREST will not disappoint.
Raw, urgent hardcore like a cross between SS DECONTROL and UK punk... Made by fella's in their 40's. They manage to pair the songs down to exactly what is needed- namely minute longs blast of pure hate and bile.

Imagine GISM without the pinko shit, totally blown out, high as fuck on PCP. Now add a
disturbing Metal atmosphere (for some reason it reminds me of Hellhammer at times) and
you would land somewhere near this Demo. A noisy onslaught of vicious hardcore that is
fast enough to please Black Metal fans and crusty Punk creeps alike.

Hailing from Houston, TX, Vitality! play an old-school Orange County style of hardcore that has drawn comparisons to Unity, Uniform Choice, and 7 Seconds with the melodic hooks of Dag Nasty and intensity of Turning Point. There's also a nod to Underdog, because they're using one of their famous bass lines. This ep contains 6 tracks from the 'Introspection' CDEP on sweet colored vinyl.

The titanic Third LP from Holland's Vitamin X. Rampaging fast hardcore in the style of Lifes Halt, DS-13, Tear It Up and No Justice. The blazing speed and power are broken here and there by charged up heavy riffs that show guitarist Marcs longstanding inspiration from 70's hard rock. While there are a lot of bands mixing 70's rock and hardcore right now Vitamin X does so in a fashion that doesn't tone down or slow down their high energy hardcore attack. The burly rock riffs merely add to the tension and power of the thrash onslaught to come.

Vitamin X takes their tried and true thrash sound to the next level. Building on the direction they were headed with the Bad Trip LP this ep mixes full on thrash with some wild 70's rock riffs and leads. Before you think this is another 'How We Rock' or 'Fire And Ice' you better chill out and recognize, it's still fast and furious, just with some wild and unique guitar work from Marc that's influenced by 70's hard rock. Essential for die hard fans or people who have never heard Vitamin X before.

Plenty of folks who grew up with hardcore have since moved onto its noisier or artier or less-traditional cousins. VOGUE's "Pompshit" is sourced in the early 1980's loose-booty Hardcore-Punk with some hints into the tightly wound treble-spray of early '90s noise-rock. It's an ugly sound - sometimes frenzied and sometimes totally entropic. Unlike so much music in 2010, VOGUE doesn't want to inflate your sense of euphoria. The songs on the record are what you can expect from VOGUE - harsh, raw, unexpected tempo juggling. They want to stub out enthusiasm like a cigarette on a forehead. This album is diverse, but VOGUE ain't no dilettantes. If you like their former stuff you'll love these tracks!

If you like their previous stuff, you will definitly love this one. The songs on the record are what you can expect from VOGUE but more. Harsher, harder, rawer, unexpected tempo juggling, psychedelic shit ... Discontent in its purest form. Its hard to make comparisons with other bands as there are so many sides to the record (plus I suck at this). But if you insist: PISSED JEANS, SSD, BRUTAL KNIGHTS, ANNIHILATION TIME and DEAD STOP ... (told you).

While organizing the Dischord archive, they came across the 4-track of Void's first recording session. This was done at Hit And Run Studios in November 1981 and never officially released. The master tape was nowhere to be found so the tape was remixed by Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara at Inner Ear in 2011. This release features that entire session plus their first Inner Ear demo including the "Flex Your Head" cuts and song that ended up on the "Condensed Flesh" 7", two outtakes from their second Inner Ear session and a couple of live recordings. Vinyl version includes free album download.

Featured are John Pettibone (Undertow, Himsa), Chris Williams (Champion), Aram Arslanian (Champion, Betrayed), Ryan Murphy (Undertow, Ten Yard Fight, Ensign and currently The Helm), and Rob Moran (Unbroken, Over My Dead Body and Some Girls). This EP is made up of four tracks of fast, positive hardcore proving that the passion for hardcore is still alive within these individuals.

Sounds a lot like Batallion of Saints and Broken Bones mixed with 90's crust like State of Fear, a bit of Totalitar, and the Infest/ND 'Scum' riffing these guys nailed on their eps. A band who can throw in a blast beat for flavor and still write a decent mid paced roger or three.

On 'Slow Decay', their 2nd EP, San Diego's Waco Fuck bring six songs of blazing fast hardcore a la Dropdead, Siege, Scum-era Napalm Death, Crossed Out, and the ilk. This record is six songs of blast beats and screeched vocals that may remind some of the glory days of Slap A Ham and Sabado Gigante.

The state of Maine has never been notorious for producing straight forward hardcore acts, but Wake Up Call is rising above the stereotypes and are ready to slap the naysayers in the face. With a traditional brand of stripped down, fast paced hardcore, Wake Up Call are following in the path of the old school hardcore bands that paved the way for the genre, yet are sticking to a style they call their own, without worry about the current trends in modern day punk rock. This is their demo pressed onto vinyl. Very fast and old school, watch out for their debut ep on Think Fast!

The state of Maine has never been notorious for producing straight forward hardcore acts, but WAKE UP CALL is rising above the stereotypes and are ready to slap the naysayers in the face. With a traditional brand of stripped down, fast paced hardcore/punk, WAKE UP CALL are following in the path of the old school hardcore bands that paved the way for the genre, yet are sticking to a style they can call their own, without worry about the current trends in modern day punk rock. The vocal track by Aaron Billon gives the songs a whole new dimension, and a very old school hardcore feel, easily comparable to the likes of WARZONE or UNDERDOG. With a simple, clean song structure, plenty of back up vocals, and solo hooks, One Eye Open captures everything needed to grab a hold of the listener and make them beg for more by the ring out of the closing track. With the perfect recipe, One Eye Open is a flawless debut, that is sure to be talked about for years to come among the hardcore and punk scene.

Walk Aside have a good deal of that late 80s, Gorilla Biscuits-styled melodicore in them. You can tell that these guys know their 7 Seconds records backward and forward, and the semi-catchy crew choruses are never in shortage. This also has so much of the hardcore scene of the past few years in it that there's no way you can call these guys a nostalgia act. There are traces of early Dischord bands to be found as well, most evidently in the the final track, on which Walk Aside covers the Teen Idles' 'Sneakers
