This'll most likely be the last update for 2007.
It has been a good year for XSENTIENTX and ASSAULT RECORDS- thanks to all of you. I might not have a flashy webpage, shopping carts or even pictures of the records I'm selling, but I'm lucky to have your support.
The mailorder and label are still as DIY as ever, taking up all my spare time. Being able to do this, to be a part of this scene means a lot to me and YOU made it all possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The JUST WENT BLACK shirts are in now as well. Black shirts with an awesome URBAN WASTE rip-off design, available in all sizes. There aren't too many of these and I'm pretty sure that they'll be limited to the initial print run. Of course the band'll have copies for sale at their next few shows as well, but I expect these to go quick.
We also did our first ever ASSAULT RECORDS shirt. The design is very simple, but stylish because of that. The front just reads 'got passion?' (inspired by the 'got milk' ad campaign), the back has the Assault logo in the neck. Shirts are printed with white ink on black shirts. We've only made a handful of these, and they'll be gone soon.
The new FLEX book will be in stock this week, thanks for those of you who preordered, just metion the preorder with your order and you're taken care of. 2/3 of the print run are gone already, so if you're on the fence about wether or not to buy the book, shit or get off the pot, because these will be gone in a matter of days, only to be found on ebay.
December 8th will see the release of the new BLACK FRIDAY 29 LP, and the DOWN & OUTS LP on Dead & Gone Records and I'll have copies of both soon after. Feel free to add either to your order, if you don't mind the wait, but want to be the first on your block to have the records.
I have a bunch of second hand records and rarities and I'm planning to send out a special update once I've typed everything in, so be on the lookout for that (but don't hold your breath waiting).

A whole day.
That's how long it took me to finish the latest mailorder update. I didn't realize the sheer amount of records that came in since the last update.
Speaking of which, I'd like to apoplogize to everyone who had to wait longer than usual to get his/her order. It seems like I've placed to much confidence in my suppliers.
As a result, some records are not in this update, eventhough they should be in shortly (the new ALLEGIANCE LP, SEASICK 10inch). Everything else is on hand and ready to ship or confirmed as in transit (ie. should be here next week). Let me know if you'd prefer to wait for either.
The KILL YOUR IDOLS- Something Started Here box sets finally came in. If you've preordered a copy, please make sure to mention it when you send our order.
The new SHORT FUSE ep is out now on ASSAULT records.'Blight' has six new tracks of hardcore-punk by Münster's finest. Limited colored vinyl is exclusively available from XsentientX... you know what to do.
The JUST WENT BLACK- Embracing Emptiness 10inch has been out for a few weeks and reactions have been enthusiastic so far. There are still a few copies left on colored vinyl, so order now!
Keep your fingers crossed for the COUNTING THE DAYS vinyl to come in for the next update, it'll blow you away!

I'm reasonably sure that this is the biggest update ever, filled to the brim with essential hardcore releases!
KNIFE FIGHT, VIOLENT MINDS or GO IT ALONE need no introductions, But make sure to check out PRESSURE, BROKEN NEEDLE and lots more as well.
Then there's the final pressing of the ANOTHER BREATH- Not Now, Not Ever LP on white vinyl with silkscreened covers, numbered out of 200 waiting to be picked up...

It's been a while since the last update and it shows in terms of quantity. Lots of new releases worth picking up, with more coming soon.
JUST WENT BLACK have recorded songs for a 10inch to be released on Assault Records (CD version on Blacktop), preorders will be up soonish. More releases are planned, but not definite yet.
I've (almost) finished moving, so things should be back to normal soon enough. Thanks a lot for your support and patience over the last few weeks!

The new update is finally in the can!
Things have been busy at ASSAULT records. Just weeks after the release of the DAY OF THE DEAD - A New Healing Process LP, we're happy to announce that the EMPTY VISION - The Rise LP is out now as well! Housed in a slick looking gatefold cover, the limited colored vinyl is available from XSENTIENTX now!
Apart from the EMPTY VISION debut, the vinyl release of the BLACK SS 'Foreign Object' full-length and the STEP FORWARD ep come with my highest possible recommendation. Check out the news section to for more details on both and a bunch more records worth picking up.
Not in the list:
- the new LIFETIME record (because there will be vinyl after all, but it'll drop later)
- the new COMEBACK KID record (CD only so far)
If you'd rather get the CD version of either record now, just let me know. Otherwise, I'll make sure to have vinyl in stock once it ships!

Updates..
New releases come out daily and it's tempting to wait just a little longer for certain records, pushing the whole update back further. But if you wait too long, some records are already old news. It's basically a no win situation and thus pretty hard to decide.
This time, the new LOJ LP and the DANGERS LP didn't make the cut and neither did the DAY OF THE DEAD LP (further delays with the cover). Both'll be in the next update, along with new vinyl from LIFETIME and LIFE LONG TRAGEDY.
But even without those, the update holds some killer records like the DEAD HEARTS LP, the long-awaited FUCKED UP- Hidden World 2xLP (in transit right now) and the KORO LP. Those are just the obvious ones, there's way more... just check out the news below.
I'm always trying to fill every order, but sometimes records are out of stock. If possible, I'm gonna reorder them in which case there can be slight delays. Thanks for your patience in these cases.
As mentioned before, the DAY OF THE DEAD covers aren't finished yet, but they should be in next month, so if you'd like to preorder the LP, just let me know.
The final Assault release for 2006 will be the EMPTY VISION- The Rise LP. The vinyl version of the Fields Of Hope CD will be a split release with Cobra records and should be available this december.

I know you're all waiting for it, but the Fucked Up- Hidden World 2xLP isn't out just yet. Hopefully it should be in stock in time for the next update and it'll be awesome. If you're worried about missing out, drop me a line and I'll put a copy aside for you as soon as they're in.
I was lucky enough to attend a screening of AMERICAN HARDCORE at the Oldenburg film festival and it was a treat! The DVD will be out next year and is probably as essential as the Schism book. Of course we will have copies.
The DEADLY NAM DVD will be available october 12, and we're about to place our order. Let me know if you want to get a copy ot this masterpiece for your viewing pleasure. It's a Nam movie shot entirely in northern germany and with a cast of hardcore kids. Good, clean fun.
The new movie, CITY KILL, will put it to shame though.

It's that time again... a new update filled with essential hardcore vinyl!
I don't think that the sheer amount of great releases this summer will be topped anytime soon- it's actually hard to pick favourites because there are so many killer records!
New records from the amazing ANOTHER BREATH and VERSE (not to mention the awesome BETRAYED LP), the first HAVE HEART LP (so good) and the full-length from GOVERNMENT WARNING come highly recommended.
The SHORT FUSE- Fruitless Efforts EP is out now on Assault and it rocks! Stop by www.assaultrecords.com for more info and a new mp3. You won't be disappointed! I couldn't be happier with this release.
There's no light without shadow- the DAY OF THE DEAD LP isn't done yet, since the North Design guy ripped us off and never sent the artwork. A new cover is in the works, but it'll be a few more weeks before the record is out.
There are more great records coming this fall, full length releases from FUCKED UP, DEAD HEARTS, THE STATE and KORO and a whole pile of EPs from cool new bands and labels. Check back often or subscribe to the newsletter.
By the way... I've been thinking of adding a small graphic novel section with cool stuff (Sin City, V For Vendetta, Watchmen, DMZ, Fables, Ex Machina, Walking Dead and more). There are amazing comic books for adult readers out there! Let me know if you're interested at all.

The posi fest DVD reorder has yet to get here, if it takes the same route the last package did, it will go to Bangkok, Thailand first.... Sorry to all those who had to wait.
It seems like most of the LIGHTS OUT LPs came without a lyric sheet, because the pressing plant fucked up and forget to insert them. I got extra copies from the kind folks at Youngblood, so if you've odered your LO LP from me, drop me a line and I'll add a lyric sheet to your order.
